Jesus promises not to lay burdens on those who follow him in faith. Far from a religion which oppresses people, Christianity is intended to offer rest to the weary and strength to the weak. Are we able to enjoy our faith or do we see it as something heavy? Is it a weight off our minds or a burden on our soul?

Come to me all you who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest.
(Matthew 11: 28)

Religion is not for the clever, for those with minds that can analyse and dissect dogmas. God has revealed the mysteries of faith to those who simply learn to know his Son.

William Wordsworth once said: "Wisdom is often nearer when we stoop than when we soar"

St John Vianney said, "We do not have to talk very much in order to pray well. We know that God is there in His holy tabernacle; let us open our hearts to Him; let us rejoice in His Presence: This is the best prayer."
