Parish Prayers
We are all asked to keep the following in our prayers this coming week.
 
We pray for all those who have returned from their August break.  We pray that we are all renewed to focus on God's work as his Apostles of the Gospel.

We pray for those who are preparing for the Popes visit, especially those from our own community who will travel to London to see him in Hyde Park.
We pray for the weak and marginalised, asking that God will give them strength to stand tall and proud.
Fr. Tom, and the work he does.

Praying  With The Pope In September
 
We can join Pope Benedict in his prayer intentions for the month of September:

The Word of God as Sign of Social Development

General: That in less developed parts of the world the proclamation of the Word of God may renew people’s hearts, encouraging them to work actively toward authentic social progress.

The End of War

Missionary: That by opening our hearts to love we may put an end to the numerous wars and conflicts which continue to bloody our world.
